We are currently seeking dependable, hardworking, highly skilled Site Superintendents, Carpenters and Laborers to join our team. You will work with the project manager to construct, install, and renovate various types of buildings in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional construction field. Work includes framing, drywall install, ceilings, wooden stairways, doors and hardware, flooring, cabinets, partitions, door and window frames and more.

Site Superintendents Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience in ICI Construction, running projects from $2-20 million dollars
  • Coordinate project workforce, equipment and schedule all subcontractors for the project
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship, report project progress to Project Manager and ensure all required paperwork is submitted within the given timeline
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety practices on site at all times
  • Must be willing to travel for out of town/province work for periods of 4 weeks at a time
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance
  • Must possess a valid Ontario Drivers license with an acceptable abstract

Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications (architectural, structural, MEP, and/or sketches). Verify field measurements and trueness of structure; communicate any inconsistencies to the Superintendent.
  • Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines
  • Ensuring that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards;
  • Maintaining daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and E-mail correspondence to keep the various people involved with the project informed of important issues;
  • Promoting and maintaining a culture that values safety, health and cleanliness.
  • Participating in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Has the ability to understand the function and purpose of the final product. Uses the knowledge to challenge the appropriateness of the work in progress;
  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. drywall, fiberglass board, metal framing) according to measurements
  • Build window frames, doors, staircases, frame buildings, and other structures by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
  • Install hardwood floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation
  • Taping, mudding and drywall finishing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a carpentry program at a vocational school or carpentry apprenticeship is an asset.
  • 3+ years of professional carpentry experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
  • Proficient in using hand tools as well as measurement tools
  • Valid driver license.
  • Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
  • Pass a background check.
  • Salary: $1200.00 per week
